Journey of Light: A Solstice Celebration
108 Sun Salutations, Garth Mountain walk and Cacao Ceremony to live classical guitar as the sun sets
Service Description
On this, the longest day of the year, we have a very special event to honour the earth and its connection with the sun, honour our connection with nature and the cycles of the seasons, celebrate our journey through the first half of the year and look ahead ahead to the coming months with the slow return of shorter days. We will take a moment of reflection as we gather for this celebration, finding that connection with our inner light, before sharing in the traditional practice of 108 sun salutations. This energising practice is a traditional way to celebrate the solstice and has become a favourite annual event amongst my yogi’s. We’ll take a break then to refuel with homemade Bliss Balls and Welsh Cakes before changing for the half an hour walk up to the top of the Garth Mountain where we will hold a sacred Cacao Ceremony as we watch the sun set. We will be joined by Anna Lloyd who will play classical guitar as we sip on our mugs of steaming ceremonial grade Cacao blended with creamy oat milk and sweetened with a little raw honey or coconut Should the weather not be nice, then after the Sun Salutations we will instead share in a grounding yin practice to stretch out our muscles before holding the cacao ceremony and live guitar in the precious space that we have shared our practice in this year. A degree of fitness is required but this is not an advanced practice. Please come wearing clothes for yoga and a change of clothing for the walk up the mountain. Bring your favourite mug for the cacao ceremony. You might like to bring a journal with you to jot down your thoughts. As the event draws to a close you will leave with a carefully chosen wellbeing gift to carry you through the rest of the year.

Cancellation Policy
Please arrive around ten minutes before your class is due to start. Access will not be possible until 15 minutes before the class start time in order to allow the previous class time to vacate the studio. We do not allow late access to class as the outside door will be closed to entry just before the class starts to protect peoples belongings in the reception area. Refunds will not be given if you are late and unable to attend the class. Block Booking cancellations can be made via the app with up to 24 hours notice. To cancel a single booking please contact me at least 24 hours in advance or you will not recieve the refund. I'm afraid refunds cannot be guaranteed if 24 hours notice is not given. Please park considerately and be mindful of our neighbours when leaving the studio. Please be respectful to your fellow yogis and teachers and ensure your behaviour does not affect their enjoyment of the class in anyway. This is a strict no shoes studio so please leave your shoes in the storage boxes inside the front door. Small lockers are provided for your valuables. But you might like to leave your bags in your car. We recommend bringing into the studio only what you need for class in order to keep space between the mats nice and clear. Please bring your own mat if you have one, though we do have spares. All props will be provided but you might like to bring your own blanket for savasana. Special events / workshops cancellation: 100% refund if more than one weeks notice given, 50% refund in the event of 1 to 7 days notice given. No refunds issued in the event of cancellation within 24 hours of the event
