I’ve always loved rainbows. They hold a special magic for me - and I have never wrapped my head around the science of them. So they forever remain a sign of the wonder this world has to offer.
My drawings as a child were often of rainbows and Kermit’s Rainbow Connection song was a favourite with its message of hope and imagination telling us to not let go of our dreams. Paul Williams, co song writer says that the song “basically says that everyone is empowered by love. Our thoughts, what we dwell on and create — we build our own futures with our thoughts. “ if we think it and believe it then it becomes a sort of prayer - it become our reality. Much like our Sankalpas during Yoga Nidra. Our subconscious mind creates our reality.
And so, lit by a rainbow above their heads I could only stand in delight as Phil and Keiran began today, the job of cutting out my studio windows.
I used to dream of having my own place to take care of people - when I was younger it was to have a tea shop - but I didn’t believe it enough or at least I didn’t believe in me and so I let the humdrum of life drag me into a corporate world. But in the last four years I’ve done so many things I didn’t think possible and I dared once again to dream. To dream of my own place but this time to have a yoga studio.
I kept dreaming and believing and it’s happening!
My Yogi Sanctuary is getting a step closer to becoming my reality 💛
